Teach counting and making change with coins.
INSTRUCTIONS: In this lesson you are the
cashier and you must give back the correct amount of change. The
cash register shows the price. Under the cash register is the
amount of money you ar given. Calculate the correct change to be
returned, and then click on the money, which will move to the table.
When you believe you have chosen the correct amount of money, press the
CHECK button.
These interactive learning exercises are designed to
help your students learn and practice their money counting skills.
Create your own lesson difficulty level based on your students' skill
level and ability to count money. Use these interactive lessons with our
money worksheets and lesson plans to teach counting money skills.

Either choose a pre-set skill level, or set your own configuration
below. Then push the button to open the lesson in a new browser
window. If your browser is internet explorer, you may press
function key F-11 to set to full screen mode. If you do not see
the interactive lessons once you push the button, see the prior screen
about installing the necessary internet software.

exercise. Focus on
counting fewer coin types, such as just pennies and
nickels,
or change the
number of coins to make it easier or more difficult.
Also, you
may turn off the money hint, so students must calculate
the coin total.
