introduction to punctuation, hyphens usage, and business writing
fundamentals.
This lesson contains tips about additional
punctuation marks that are often used
incorrectly in business writing, such as
hyphens, semi-colons, colons, quotation marks,
dashes, and ellipses.
Objectives:
Students
will learn the importance of business
writing, including content and presentation.
Students
will learn basic punctuation and improve their usage of
hyphens, semi-colons, colons, quotation
marks, dashes, and ellipses.
Punctuate the following
sentences (add “correct”
punctuation, correct “bad”
punctuation, and change
punctuation for variety or
clarity) according to the rules
listed above, using every
punctuation mark discussed above
at least once on the worksheet.
Hint – this can be done in
variety of ways, and sometimes
you might need to change the
wording a bit to fit your
punctuation revision!
