Lesson Plan
Give an introductory lesson about stocks to
your students.
Explain that one way that they can save their
money is to invest, and one way that people invest is to buy
stocks.
A stock represents ownership in a company.
For example if you own 1 share of McDonalds stock, then you are an
owner of McDonalds (though a small one!)
Let's now practice buying stock with this
worksheet.

Buying Stocks Worksheet Instructions
This is a simple worksheet to teach students
that when you buy a company's stock, you must pay the price per
share times the number of shares purchased.
There are two versions of this worksheet.
Once is for kids, or younger students (includes face pictures).
The other version is for older students.
For each stock, have the student calculate:
price per share X shares
This worksheet uses real recent stock data for
stock prices. |
