How to use this generator
This is a randomized word-problem worksheet generator. Students see a simple grocery list of food items with prices, and they are asked to calculate the total spent. Built for grade 4 and up, with strong fit for special-education classes preparing students for real-world grocery shopping as a life skill.
Two versions: the standard worksheet uses simple pricing (good for foundational practice); the modern price worksheet uses current-day pricing (good for showing real-world relevance). Both are randomized, so the same student can practice repeatedly without seeing identical problems.
