Financial Literacy Standards: Jump$tart & CEE Crosswalk
Money Instructor lessons align to the two national frameworks for K–12 personal finance education. This page maps our teaching topics to the Jump$tart and CEE standards so you can plan, document, and justify coverage.
Why This Matters
Standards alignment, made practical for teachers
Most schools and districts ask teachers to show how their lessons map to recognized standards. For personal finance, two frameworks dominate: the Jump$tart National Standards in K–12 Personal Finance Education and the Council for Economic Education (CEE) National Standards for Personal Financial Literacy. Both organize the subject into six topic areas and are widely referenced by state financial-literacy requirements.
Money Instructor lessons are written to these frameworks. Individual flagship lessons list the specific standards they teach in a “Standards aligned” section near the top of the page. This crosswalk gives you the bigger picture — which standards each topic on the site addresses — so you can build a unit, fill a coverage gap, or answer “which standard does this meet?” in a few seconds.

For Your Documentation
Finding standards on individual lessons
On flagship lesson pages, look for the “Standards aligned” section just below the learning objectives. It lists the exact Jump$tart and CEE standards that lesson teaches, in plain language — for example, Jump$tart: Credit & Debt 1, 2 · CEE: Using Credit 1, 2. Copy those directly into your lesson plans or curriculum maps.
A note on editions: standards frameworks are revised periodically. The alignments on this site reference the editions named above (Jump$tart 4th Edition and CEE 2nd Edition, both 2021). Always confirm against your state’s current adopted standards, which may reference a specific edition or add state-specific requirements.
