Common Questions
Dividing Money Worksheet FAQ
Do I need a membership to use this generator?
Yes — the generator is a full Money Instructor membership feature (the paid plan, not a free account). Full members can make and print unlimited worksheets with answer keys. The page itself is free to read.
What kind of problems does it make?
A grid of long-division problems: a whole-number divisor dividing a dollar amount (for example, $84.00 ÷ 7). Students work each one out with space provided under the problem.
Do the problems divide evenly?
By default, yes — every problem divides exactly so the answer is a clean dollar-and-cents amount. Turn off Divide evenly to allow remainders, and answers are rounded to the nearest cent.
Can I control the difficulty?
Yes. Choose the smallest and largest divisor, the dollar size ($10, $100, or $1,000), and how many problems and how many per row.
How is this different from a plain division worksheet?
The dividends are money (dollars and cents), so students practice dividing decimals in a real-world context — splitting costs and finding unit prices — not just whole numbers.
Is there an answer key?
Yes. Keep Include answer key on and the tool prints the answer to every problem. Set Number of worksheets up to 5 for different versions.
