What does the worksheet look like?
Each worksheet prints one or more itemized grocery receipts — a store name and a list of items with quantities and prices. Students fill in the SUBTOTAL, TAX, and TOTAL, then answer a short sale-discount question below the receipt.
Can I control the difficulty?
Yes. Level 1 has 1–2 items and no tax. Level 2 has 1–2 items with tax. Level 3 has 3–6 items with tax. Choose how many receipts appear on each worksheet.
Are the tax and discount amounts realistic?
Yes. Sales tax is a realistic 4–9%, and the sale discount is 10–20% — both rounded to the nearest cent, just like a real receipt.
Are the answers exact?
Yes. Every price is computed to the exact cent, so the SUBTOTAL, TAX, TOTAL, and discount all reconcile exactly — no rounding surprises.
