How It Works

How are amounts written on a check?
You write the amount in numbers after the dollar sign, then write it again in words on the Dollars line. For $152.31 you write “One hundred fifty-two and 31/100.” The “/100” shows the cents.
Can I make the amounts easier or harder?
Yes. Choose the largest amount (up to $100, $500, $1,000, or $5,000) and turn cents on or off. The first few questions also use smaller amounts to ease students in.
Is there an answer key?
Yes. Keep Include answer key on and the tool prints the correct wording for every amount.
Can I make several versions?
